Detroit Octane formed in early March of ’08. They saw a lot of campaign videos circulating the internet that other people made and thought - no, knew - they could do better. Combining a passion for politics and song parody, Detroit Octane set out to create the most exciting political song parodies in the music business. Made up of Democrats and Republicans, Detroit Octane’s only party affiliation is to making great music. They’ve created songs for Democrats and Republicans alike. They’ll create an exciting song for any member of any political party, any time, anywhere (preferably Hawaii!!!). Whatever it is they end up doing, and whoever they end up doing it for, one thing will be certain: Detroit Octane will take an existing song, keep the music the same, change the lyrics to reflect whoever or whatever they are singing about, and create a whole new song that is still familiar but also new and excitingly different at the same time.
